Start with the market, language and ability to fulfil demand. Evaluate campaign outcomes before changing its budget.

Where has the expansion begun, and in which language?
On 28 October 2026, Google announced that it was expanding ads in AI Mode beyond the United States to Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Singapore. Brazil, Mexico and the United Kingdom were part of its fourth-quarter plan; the availability page checked on 3 November did not yet list them as current markets. [1][2]
English is the listed language, with text ads only in Pakistan. Neither Türkiye nor an Arab market appears on the list for this placement. Distinguish your company’s location, the market it serves and the language of the search experience. A person’s ability to use AI search does not in itself establish that ads can appear within it.
Which campaigns can participate?
Google lists Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns. Eligible campaigns enter the regular auction without a separate placement budget. You cannot target AI Mode alone or exclude it separately from Search. Controls such as negative keywords still apply. [2]
Consider the difference between “buy a folding desk” and “how can I set up a workspace in a small room?” The first query expresses a commercial need directly. With the second, a useful product may emerge from the context of the answer. Google distinguishes exact and phrase match, which can serve direct commercial queries, from options such as broad match, Shopping and Performance Max, which can also match contextually. Eligibility does not guarantee an impression. [2]
What should you check before spending more?
Suppose a furniture store in Türkiye targets buyers in Canada. A desk advertised for small spaces raises practical questions: how deep is it when open, will it fit in the lift, and what will delivery cost at the buyer’s address? Review one product page on a phone. If the buyer has to contact you just to learn the dimensions or whether you deliver, you have found something to improve regardless of placement.
Check price, availability, variants and shipping costs against the Merchant Center feed. For a service business, ask the equivalent questions: does the page explain scope, service language and what happens next? Our guide to reviewing landing pages before raising Google Ads spend follows the promise from the ad to the enquiry. This is a CROMBA readiness check; it does not require a new campaign.
How should you read the results and decide on budget?
Impressions, clicks, costs and conversions feed into ordinary campaign reporting in aggregate. A rise in Canadian orders after the expansion does not by itself show that AI Mode caused it. Record changes to prices, offers and targeting over the same period. [2]
Choose a business outcome in advance: for a retailer, a completed order that can be shipped to the target market; for a service company, an in-scope enquiry accepted by sales for follow-up. Our guide to lead measurement in GA4 distinguishes a page visit from a contact action. Compare outcome cost and quality over a period that fits your sales cycle, then decide whether to expand, improve the page or hold spending steady.
Discuss with CROMBA whether your campaigns are ready for the markets you actually target.
