Separate retrieval changes from team decisions. Test messages, offers and destinations against enquiry quality and cost.
Analysis of Meta’s 28 October 2026 explanation, reviewed 2 November. Testing frameworks and examples are CROMBA recommendations, not system instructions or performance guarantees.
What did Meta announce?
Meta published an engineering explanation on 28 October 2026 about the next generation of Andromeda, its Ads Retrieval system. It describes production use and automatic improvements, without an advertiser activation setting or country rollout timetable. [1]
This is not evidence of a newly available account feature in Saudi Arabia or Turkey. Nor does the article’s publication date establish when every improvement it describes entered production.
Retrieval is not final ranking
Meta explains that retrieval narrows a large pool of eligible ads to candidates; a later Ranking stage evaluates them in greater detail. Improving the first stage does not remove the second. [1]
Your team’s decisions begin with work it can review: does the ad explain the service, is its promise appropriate for the audience, and does the destination meet the expectation created before the click? These are CROMBA operating questions, not hidden system instructions.
For example, a video production ad might attract people seeking a one-off private event shoot, while the company provides production retainers for organisations. Reaching more people does not resolve that ambiguity. The copy and offer need to state the service scope clearly.
Platform results do not predict your account’s outcome
The source reports platform-level performance results. They are not a forecast for your account or a guarantee of lower customer acquisition costs. [1]
For practical evaluation, compare your campaign with its own history and business objective. Record changes to spend, offer, creative and landing page. Do not attribute every change in enquiries to a technical update simply because they happened around the same time.
Also check your definition of a Conversion. A contact click differs from a completed enquiry, and a completed enquiry may still be unsuitable. Our guide to measuring leads in GA4 helps clarify what you measure after visitors reach your website.
Test different messages for a clear reason
We suggest building a test around one question: which explanation helps a suitable customer understand the service? A production team might test a message about delayed delivery, another about organising production, and a third about the expected scope of work.
These are editorial hypotheses, not an Andromeda formula. Avoid promises your service cannot deliver and do not produce dozens of variants that merely change a background colour or word order.
For each creative, record the hypothesis, intended audience, offer, destination and evaluation criterion. If you change the message, offer and page together, treat the outcome as a test of the combination. Do not attribute the difference to one element without evidence.
Connect the ad to the landing page and follow-up
The Landing Page should complete the message that prompted the click. Explain what the service includes, whom it suits and what happens after an enquiry. Our guide to reviewing landing pages before increasing spend focuses on Google Ads, but consistency between promise and destination also matters in Meta campaigns.
For businesses working in Arabic and Turkish, review the team’s ability to respond in the ad’s language, service coverage and follow-up times. Attract enquiries the team can serve, then track their progress into genuine opportunities using an agreed definition.
When should you change the plan or expand spend?
Before testing, define what you will review: enquiry cost, the share of suitable enquiries, rejection reasons and progression to the next sales stage. Choose a review period that fits data volume and the sales cycle. A single weak day or enquiry should not drive a sweeping decision.
Results may reveal a problem with offer clarity or response time rather than creative volume. Address the cause supported by evidence, then evaluate again. A platform update is a reason to understand delivery; it does not replace the team’s responsibility for messaging, measurement and follow-up.
Discuss with CROMBA a testing plan that connects advertising messages to lead quality and clarifies campaign management and production responsibilities before expanding spend.
